The area

Local landmarks
Ground broke in 2006 for a town-square mix of office, restaurants, library, and a Verdin bell tower. It is the modern civic center, useful context when we are matching trim colors on nearby subdivisions, not a roof type of its own.
Once a 1800s rail-side hamlet (Hogtown / Mechanicsburgh), the corridor still has 1840-era buildings. Work there is closer to Lebanon's historic streets than to a 1997 Lakota-side two-story.
